Intel Six Core Processor THIS YEAR!
Wow, that’s all I can say to the news that Intel will be shipping a SIX core xeon processor this year. It’s planned for the second half, and will be part of the MP 7000 series. Not even sure what to say about this, but how impressed I am at modern computer technology. Now, I’m not one for speeches but…Wait, I am one for speeches, woops. Although, apparently Intel has an 80 core processor (with each core running at 3.16 GHz) which Intel says will be released in the next five years (OMG!). Also, considering that the four cores only came out in 2006, this is pretty amazing. Let’s just hope that 80 core doesn’t weigh 80 pounds.
