Finally, A Smartphone for the White House. Introducing, the BarackBerry.

February 20th, 2009 — 6:53pm

Yes, my readers, I present to you an incredible leak, from an anonymous employee at some sort of smartphone development firm. He wasn’t able to provide me with an image of the phone, but this logo (which is definitely not photoshopped) provides me with sufficient evidence that the president will be using a device entitled the “BarackBerry”, which is secured through only the highest standards of encryption, while still giving him the same great function of his old phone. Apparently, however, another company may be developing their own phone for the president, called the “iBama”, though the source seems quite sketchy.

Wtf? Original content?

March 31st, 2008 — 5:30pm

Yes, that’s right, in a time where original content is often unfound, I have decided to stop trying to be Engadget with a crap filter and a sense of humor. I’ve decided to provide “Original Content”, ever heard of it? This is a personal blog, not a news site. Maybe there won’t be as many posts as there used to be, but they’ll be longer, and more thought out. They’ll be life, love, tech (those don’t really go together do they?), well, Life at least. And, maybe, just maybe, there’ll be video. Every few days or maybe every week, I’ll get off my ass and press the record button (well, I might remain on my ass, but you get the idea).  Oh, and I decided to post this right away. That’s what I might do from now on, right away posts. Say it’s a bad idea (seriously, put in a comment down there), but I don’t want to “Store Up Posts for a Rainy Day”, and sorry Chris Brogan, but I want to post my opinion, and post it now, not when I decide that it’s time for that one post a day.

Sincerely,

Connor Bevans

$200 Blu-Ray Player in 2009?

March 7th, 2008 — 11:06pm

Finally, Blu-Ray can actually be affordable! With the demise of HD-DVD, Blu-Ray will have increased profits, meaning the manufacturers can lower the price and get more buyers. Yesterday morning Sony Electronics president Stan Glasglow told Gizmodo that it’s a Blu-Ray player for $200 could happen in 2009, and one for $300 in this year, meaning more viewers, meaning more Blu-Ray discs! However, these machines won’t be made by any cheap Chinese company, or at least not until they decide to license the technology to them. But this all raises the question, will the world switch to HD? Well, the US will, mainly due to the TV switch from SD to HD, but what about Canada? Well, yes, but not quite as soon as I’d hope, mainly due to Canadian broadcasters not having this limitation, however we will enjoy much more HD content, due to the US changing everything over to it.

Finally, I think I can get back to one a day!

March 5th, 2008 — 7:00pm

Well, the title says it all folks, yes, I think I can get back to one a day. I’ve decided to give in and use MarsEdit, and I personally think it’s awesome! This means that it will be much more likely for me to post, ’cause I’m both lazy and busy, so this makes it quite a bit faster. All I wish was that you could actually UPLOAD to flickr, but what the hey, it’s awesome, which compliments my awesomeness…Well, I’ll stop gloating and ask what YOU guys think, is MarsEdit awesome, or do you just prefer the web client?
